Panasonic TX28PS1 potential picture flaw

Guy mk2 (Competent) posted this on Sunday, 11th January 2004, 14:14

Hi all. I have just taken delivery of a Panasonic TX28PS1 and have noticed a faint vertical line 3.5cm from the left of the screen. This is particularly noticeable when the screen is predominantly grey. Playback is an RGB DVD picture. Is this normal?

Not normal. But if its not present on other inputs like Sky,or try s-video or composite dvd,or NTSC dvd, then it may be a dodgy lead,or if everything is already connected, cheapo lead bleeding through.
If not,take it back

I`m using decent quality IXOS scarts. The line is also present on the composite input. I`m entitled to a refund under distance purchasing rights so that is what I`ll do.
