Panasonic HS2 and recording TV

A R Clarke (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 22nd January 2004, 21:50

Hi folks,

At the risk of being dense does the Panasonic HS2 have anything like videoplus technology for timer record. If not does anybody have any experience of programming it?

Thanks

The HS2 can use Videoplus for recording analogue. But to record analogue quality on a high tech beast like the HS2 is waste of the machines picture quality.Use a digibox into AV2 in RGB.

If you put in the videoplus codes when the video is on the A2 channel, the timer settings show it set as A2. You can change it.

Also if you record from normal analogue tv you get the program name in the listing of programs recorded but when set to A2 and record from a digital box you just get A2 and the time and date.

This is on the E50 which I assume is the same
