simple question what button do you press to find out how long/time left on the disc on a panasonic e50 dvd recorder?
can`t seem to find it.

As soon as I insert a disc into mine, whether it be a RAM or -R,the display automatically shows how much time is left available, which changes when I change the recording mode (XP,SP,LP etc.etc.etc.)
I don`t recall ever asking for this to be displayed so I can only assume this is the default setting.... :/
???

There are 2 ways to check the time remaining on all Panasonic DVD recorders.

1. Go in to the "Functions" - "Disk Information" menu.

2. Or select the STATUS button on the handset and look at the OSD on the TV.

Yup,works on mine
Doesn`t seem to give you total remaining time though
Gives you time remaining in the particular chapter you`re watching.
Perhaps you can change that,I don`t know.
I`m actually quite glad I played around with it as I found out you can adjust the sound and picture qualities using, I think, the display button. :)
