My sky box does the same with my Panasonic dvd recorder. I had the box repaired (?) under the warranty, but after a few days I found the problem had not been resolved. The repair company told me there is nothing wrong with the sky box, my box had new hardware and software and was fully tested. Their thoughts were it `s the recorder, I have had that sent back to Panasonic with no problems found, and guess what........... you guessed it they say it`s the sky box. As we do not do alot of recording I have left it, but it would still be nice to know the answer.
I know this does not help you David but hopefully someone will have the answer.
Keith
