Page 1 of Philips 711 - DVD playing issue

Hi

I have a Philips 711 dvd and have an issue with it playing dvds. It has been region hacked via remote and have had not had any problems before.

It will play cd`s though.

It either ejects the dvd after reading it for a while or plays the dvd for a few seconds and then displays disc error. I get the same message with region1 or 2 discs.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. Have you solved this?
What´s happened?

Philips players are reknowned for this problem. My DVDR75 fell into the same bracket. Go by a Panasonic or some other make that demonstrates no problems at all...!
