Page 1 of Philips DVD 728 and RCE-discs

I am thinking of buying the Philips DVD-728 player. I have seen the tricks to make it multi-regional, but will it then accept RCE-discs? At amazon.com I also read that it can only be switched between regions 25 times, and then the player will lock at whatever region the 25th was. Is that correct?

This very site gives details of a remote hack for Philips recorders and players.However,none will enable playback of RCE discs.A proper chipping job is needed.Anyway,Philips players are almost as naff as their recorders.Buy a pre chipped model of a better make.It won`t be any more expensive

i have a 728 the thing plays anything i`ve thrown at it rce disks included

hack does not lock it after 25 times you only need to do it once read the hack for it on this site
