can it be set to individual regions to beat rce??

cos i would like to know before i buy

I believe that this machine is the same as the Scan and the basic answer is yes

some of the players can not be set to regions at all.
this depends on the firmware in the player!

some firmware for this player is region 2 only.

so if you can make it multi region then yes you can play RCE disc
if you can not make your player multi region then no you can not.

and to make things more complex, this player uses two diffrent video DAC`s if you use the scan firmware on the wrong DAC then its bye bye to your dvd player.

Do you know the firmware version?

Best bet is to try

Region Code Changing

To change the region code power on the DVD Player and press:

OPEN, SETUP, x, 2, 0, 1, 0, STEP, SHUFFLE, NEXT

Where x is the number of region you want to change to.

1 = Region 1 (USA)
2 = Region 2 (GB)
9 = Auto Select.

This sets the default Region number for when the player is powered on.
