Hi

yes you can put MP3`s and photos on to it
I`ve got one and its very good .You can take it almost anywhere as long as you have pockets!!! It has just gone down in price at argos to £59.99 so try get it soon before the offer ends. From a scale one to ten i would give it 10.I would recomend it for ages 8 upwards, but any age would probably enjoy it.

OR if you can find one at argos, go for the N-gage phone (NOT qd version), it plays MP3 files, has a radio, plays games, and movies (avi), you can store photo`s AND it`s a phone. and takes a MMC card upto 1gb

and is only £75.99

From what I have learned the video format is supposed to be proprietary. I know the video format is 240 x 160-pixel at 10fps but have not been able to find out what format. So far nobody has listed how to play your own videos on it.

Anybody looking for these check you local Wal-Mart. They have begun marking them down. It is marked down to about $30 and mp3 kit was $19 at my local Wal-Mart.

If anyone can find out about the video format and how to create it please post.

Somebody Said In The Message Above But One That the N-Gage Plays AVI Files. I Own A N-Gage. (not qd). I Know It Plays RM (realmedia) And MP3 But How DO you Make It Play AVI?

Additional Information on Juice Box

SD Cards - Must be "tagged" before use by putting them in the adapter and turning on the player. Otherwise it will not work. Also files must be downloaded to it, not just copied, it will not work (unless I did something wrong) . Max size of SD card you can use is 512meg. The "tag" seems to be information added to the begining of the SD card so it can be read by both.

Pictures - Pictures are shrunk to 240x160 and converted to bmp format. Appears to be a standard bmp format since they open in paint and other older editors. Resolution is good considering the size. Average bmp size is 113k after conversion. It will convert jpg and gif formats. I have not tested all picture formats, just some basic testing and so far it seems to work good. Pictures that do not shrink evenly to 240x160 will get black lines on either the left and right or top and bottom so the image is centered. Similar to wide screen images found on dvds. If a picture is in portrait mode juice box will rotate it 90 degrees when it shrinks it. This way it does not add as much black space to the sides.

MP3s are a bit tempermental - must be stereo. if it is not stereo they will not work. Maximum of 128kbps or they will not work. Music files play as well on it as the do on the computer. Your current mp3s should remain the same size from what I have seen.

You can mix images and mp3s on the same SD card. A menu screen asks if you want the photo viewer or mp3s. It will cycle through all of the songs or pictures without requiring any buttons to be pressed. You can press the buttons as it plays to skip forward or back.

One drawback - pictures and mp3 files are played and listed in the order they were placed on the SD chip. You will need to remove them and replace them if you want a diffrent order.

So far I would say it is worth the money (i got it on clearance). Good picture and mp3 playback. Video playback is is also good, but you are limited to what they have. I would like to be able to play back my own videos on it. If anyone learns how, please post.

i found these images somewhere on the internet. They are not linked anywhere on my site and i am only using them to show how juice box shrinks pictures.
