Page 1 of Remote controls...?

Not specifically DVD related but anyway...
Anyone know of any sites that do old replacement remote controls for old TV`s? I have a 24 inch Ferguson telly and the remote is knackered, certain buttons just don`t work. The reason I want a replacement remote rather than a "one for all" remote is because without forking out up to 50 quid, I can`t see myself getting anywhere near the functionality of my current one (minus some buttons of course).
It`s quite funny in an annoying way really, the TV`s contrast is way up as only the + button works in this repsect. Also Treble is way up due to a similar symptom. Channel 1 button doesn`t work etc etc. I can`t remember the model as I`m work right now.

Anyone?

Bit of a long shot, but if you`re anywhere near Bury, there`s a shop in The Rock 9I think it`s called) that does them. I don`t know the name, I was there on a business trip last week.

My TV engineer has a catalogue of replacement remotes so if you speak to one he may be able to order one for you

Go to Yahoo auction. Do a search of "remote control". You will get a lot of results with R/C in it. There are a few people who have a lot of R/C for sell. They may be able to help.

Mind you they wanted 25 notes for it. That`s nearly half what I paid for the VCR ! Now all I need is the manual to go with it - any websites for these that you know about, matey ?

I`ve since been to Asda and found a magician4 remote control for 13 quid. Does the job, a bit wonky but I`ve emailed support and they`ve asked me for more details...which I`m a bit slow at getting round to at the moment as I rarely spend any time on the web at home since I spend all day on it at work! Not directly, but I spoke to a bloke who sells replacement remote controls ages ago, and he said Sony would probably charge me a ton for it - silly money.

Suppose I could give em another go (or were you talking about the manual - d`oh!!!!!)
