Sound problems on LG3200

Bowf (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 9th May 2001, 12:57

Whilst setting up my LG3200 I accidentally went into the digital audio output selection screen which gives you 3 choices of set up for surround sound/amp etc.
However, I do not have surround sound, and I cannot get the machine to deselect any of the 3 options. I can only get the little tick to move between the 3 options. This seems to be affecting my sound as certain disks have ` silent ` patches in them, which I am sure is a part of the soundtrack which would normally be transmitted to rear speakers, which I do not have.
The LG helpdesk could not help me. Anyone with an LG3200 know how to tell my player it`s only connected to a normal stereo TV and not a surround set up ? Or how to reset it altogether ?
Cheers

I think you need to select the PCM option. The other two are digital options.

By the way, you can connect the player to a standard hifi via the red and white analouge sockets, this will improve your sound no end.

Pete.
