Page 1 of PAL and NTSC??????

I was woundering if european tv can play NTSC dvds, i have a multiregion dvd player but no dvds but region 2 and i know the encoding of region 1 dvd`s are NTSC, the tv i got is a 28" philips tv and got it abou 1998/9. thanks for your help

tbh, thats not allways true, in fact some new phillips tv`s are listed as pal only :( if you post the model number & the model/make of you`re dvd player i`ll check em out for you :)

as a point of interest tho, my new 32" phillips is listed as "pal only" but seems to play ntsc fine :/
