Darren

Seeing as this is your first post, I`m going to be polite about this.

On Internet forums, writing in ALL CAPS is considered "shouting" and particularly rude. You might also find that people will not be inclined to help if you SHOUT at them.

In the future, lower caps would be more welcome.

Isn`t anyone going to help Mr Darren though? How rude of you chapperoonies. You should be ashamed of yourself. Tee hee.

Hey if you want cheap but chirpy speaker stands check out the Ikea catalogue. I got 2 pairs of stands (4 stands) for £30 in total and they are pretty nifty. They dont do much in terms of accustics or resonance, but they support the speakers just fine and have a neat way of sorting the cable.

Aye.

I am afraid so. Is there anything wrong with that?

I thought they were good value, even if they were a little odd. I really really didnt want to have to shell out £80 for stands for a system that only cost £180 so I just got them.

Ack never mind then.

didn`t mean to imply they weren`t any good but have seen others in there as well. as you say why spend nearly as much as the system. if it works for you don`t let me knock it.

Thats ok man. Thank you for explaining yourself there. Much appreciated.

Yep!

Yeah I was p*ssed off as I need some stands for my system to work properly but they are soooooo expensive. All the ones in Richer sounds are all really dear, although they are much better.

I haven`t seen an up to date Richer Sounds catalogue in while, maybe they have a better range of stands now. They only had high end ones when I last saw. Maybe you (Darren) should check them out.

Aye!

Actually, I got the impression Darren was looking for Yamaha stands to go with the system ?

Dunno, but if he is, I certainly can`t help him.

Darren ?

Darren - try contacting Yammy via their website :

http://www.yamaha-audio.co.uk - they may be aware of this problem and be able to source some for you.
