Help please with Mico 311

My Mico 311 that has been fine since I bought it has developed a nasty fault. Can anyone help.
If I try to record from my Freeview box, which I`ve been doing successfully for months the picture freezes and becomes wierdly coloured (mainly red). Sometimes there is no picture at all.
If I use the monitor button to see what`s happening on EXT 2 the picture`s OK for a while then develops red speckles which get more intense then the picture freezes.
Please help.

The only things that spring to mind is give it a reset to factory settings, try a surge protector or get a friendly electronics engineer to give it a once over for obvious dry joints.

It may be other equipment thats causing the fault (unlikely but plausible).

I would also wager that its out of warranty if you paid £199+ for it or £50 - 75 "refurbished\3 months warrenty", if however you bought it for £99 last Nov\Dec new then you should take it back for a refund. ;)

Sorry can`t think of anything else to add, except a replacement unit will be a lot cheaper. ;)



I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.
