can anyone tell me if the panasonic rv31eb has in built protection while transfering vcd`s to vhs.if so is there a way around it

You`ll probably find that the VCDs you`ve tried are encoded for NTSC playback - does the picture roll etc.

yes the picture rolls and also my video recorder cannot tune into the picture,like slowing down and speedind up of the motor.
any way around this.please e-mail

No easy way around it. The disc is encoded to cause the equivalent of 60 frames per second output and your video recorder is trying to record at 50 fps.

Standard convertor required - not sure if dvd players that can output NTSC as PAL50 woukd work.
