Page 1 of Possible problem with Memorex DVD -R discs

Has anybody else had trouble recording onto Memorex -R discs. My pioneer 433 h machine records on to -RW JVC discs but not Memorex -R. I` ve tried several memorex discs but none are recognised by the machine. I would appreciate any response.
