Page 1 of HITACHI DVD 315E MULTI REGION HELP?

Can anyone out there help me as a friend of mine has just bought this model and would like to know if it can be converted to multi region.

Please can you help as I have already looked in the region hack pages without much success.

Some firmware versions may be hackable using the Samsung 511 hack but most ( maybe all) will not and will require chipping

I`m sure I`ve heard of a few 315e owners having success with this hack, but as Steve says it depends on your firmware version. Later versions (like those for the Samsung DVD-M105, which the 315e is based on) will not be hackable.
