Page 1 of Dansai 852 - Problems with CD-RW

I have tried several audio CD-RW discs in my Dansai, but it does not seem to recognise them. I get the message `No Disc` on the display. The same discs work perfectly well on my personal CD player.
Is this a fault with my Dansai or have others experienced this problem?
Any suggestions?

CD-R discs work fine on mine not tried CD-RW though.

CDRW OK on my machine.
I did have trouble with vcd cdr which wouldn`t load. Tried various discs and once I got one to work all the other vcd`s worked. I had to power off Dansai a few times before I had any success.
