Page 1 of Mico A980 DVD player rocks!!!

I`ve just brought a Mico A980 Multi-Region DVD player and it rocks!!!

Plays all regions 1 to 6. DVD, Video CD, Super Video CD, Compact Video CD, MP3, CD-R and CD-RW.

Get`s my thumbs up :)

I was thinking of getting one of these players... Where did you get it from and if relevant how long did delivery take? Is it Macro free ?

I was after the Yelo800 but they ain`t gonna have any ready to sell until December...so my next thought was the Mico.

I`ve had two of these buggers in the last two weeks and they have both gone back to Unbeatable.co.uk and I`ve settled for a refund in the end.
This first had lots of noise on screen eventually making the picture unwatchable - coloured "sparks" and lines flashed across the screen - awful!
The second was a much better picture but unfortunately still a bit noisy but what finally did was when I tried to eject the disc the tray came out but the disc didn`t! I had to fish it out several times by hand.
Enough`s enough. Refund.

samacor: http://www.unbeatable.co.uk - They state they have 10,000kg of Mico`s. At 5kg (actually 4kg) each you can be fussy if you dont quite like yours.
Next day delivery (THATS THE THEORY!!!) - They used to use `Business Post` but they let them down, so City Link deliver now. A MUCH BETTER COURIER.
Its Macro Free and you can alter it back for future RCE discs.
Press 7,7,select (with no disc in player) to select `service menu`.

BTW: DONT BUY THE YELO. Ignore the bullsh*tting review mags.
If we had a poll here it would come bottom of the heap.
Yelo recalled them!

Yo Ironduke. The Mico A980 Multi Region DVD and Hitachi 505 rocks and rules as well. Better than any other DVD players on the market :)

Watched `Seduction of Innocience` on my Mico A980 DVD. Played through from start to finish without a hitch. No stop pauses, jitters or lip sync problem unlike Shinco DVD players.

I have a Mico and it plays the Matrix(problem disc) no problems.

Works great, buy one!

I am currently looking to but my first DVD player and am about to purchase one, either the SCAN SC-2000s or the MICO A980, as the new SCAN`s cannot disable macrovision (yet!) and the MICO can, can anyone tell me if the MICO has RGB through the scart socket as I can`t see anything on the website (www.unbeatable.co.uk). Also does anyone have a full specification list for the MICO as the website is limited.
