Page 1 of Region 1 colour problem

I have one of the Alba players which is multi-regioned but when I play region 1 films it plays in black and white.Is there a colour mod I can get for it (like the one for the PSX) or is there another way to rectify??

This may be down to your TVs inability to convert an NTSC signal. Two workrounds :

(1) see if your player converts NTSC to PAL : if so, enable this option in your player set up menu, or see if there is a switch round the back to do it (check your manual)

(2) if your Alba can output RGB, and your TV`s SCART socket is RGB-compliant, set your player to do that : should override the B & W problem
