Page 1 of problems with asda freeview recorder

I think i may have a problem with my asda freeview recorder.

It works ok but i can hear the hard drive booting up all the time (every 15 minutes). I know it searches for new chanels etc and that is set to search at 3am but like i say, every 15 minutes its off again >:(

Do you think its a fault or are they all like this? :/

Don`t know if its a fault or not but if its still under its 1st year warranty ASDA are great with returning stuff.

If the machine is in standby it may have a problem?
But if you are watching a program via the machine and it is a model that can pause live tv then its just saving the program just in case you pause or jump to the begining [ if available ] or record it to watch later which can be done on some makes of pvr. [ not all ].As to which the Asda machine machine can do ? [ see the manual ]
