I`ve got the chance of a Pacific DVD player cheap. Are they any good ? Is it a re-badged something-or-other ?
I don`t intend to replace my 210 with it, but for £50 I might buy it for the bedroom or for my mother.
Are they one of those players that takes 6 trips to Asda to get a good one ?

£50.00?? where from?
Sorry to get you all excited, but it`s not from a retailer.
I`m in the oil business and a guy I know is relocating abroad. He has 1 black and 1 silver one for sale for £50 each. He says he`s had no problems with them but then he would say that...
Any info ?
RE: Pacific DVD player any good ?

RE: Pacific DVD player any good ?
i tryed a pacific 750 from asda and took it back the same day.
a bit slow to respond to forward and rewind and pauses about 5sec on the duel layer discs.
didnt play any mp3 i tryed.
but it played ok. for £50 it could be ok for the bedroom.
it had something about schneider in the manual.
RE: Pacific DVD player any good ?
it does play mp3 i tried it, no problem. Also its only £90 in Asda so what do u expect.

How much is a headache of disc problems worth? Buy a decent brand name, at least you know its been tested on a similar player before its distributed the disc.

plays mps3 ok - filenames a bit dodgy but workable. Main prob is though when finishing one track & then starting the next it plays 1 or 2 secs of next track - then stops and starts track properly. Needs a fix or it`ll be going back. Any ideas anyone?
