RE: I/r codes for Matsui dvd110 on my new pronto remote control
Never heard of a Phillips Pronto controling a MAtsui Dvd!. I would have used the money for a better player. Anyway its only my opinion. Is the matsui any good??
RE: Problems with Tescos and Wharfedale
I agree with `Shock` on this. How much time do you want to spend getting the problem sorted. I have never has any disc problems with my Sony player, ok it was more expensive than the wharfdale, but I`m spending time watching films not sorting out problems with my player. ?. All dvd players should play discs regardless of price... It shouldnt happen.. i know.. but it does .. it will never change. Would you buy cheap vcd`s rather than dvd? didnt think so
RE: Dansai 852 vs Cyberhome ADL528
Dansai? Is that like the old Dansett record players? Can you pile 50 DVDs in the player!
RE: Pacific DVD player any good ?
How much is a headache of disc problems worth? Buy a decent brand name, at least you know its been tested on a similar player before its distributed the disc.
RE: Sony remote hack for multiregion ?
Buy it and get them to prove it!. Say.. if it dont work you want to return it
RE: OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
Try the Cambridge Audio M1 from Richer Sounds £80
Well worth it. You use your exisiting remotes to make the M1 learn.
RE: Pacific P-DVD 1000 Left & Right audio swapped!
Doesn`t suprise me!. I wouldnt buy one even at the low price! Proves that cheaper players dont cut the mustard.
RE: LCD Remotes
word of warning.. if its out of stock at empire direct, dont buy until they get stocks, better still shop else where, i have endless problems with them, one of them being the supervisor saying my amp was going to turn up on Thursday and it turned out it wasngt even in stock. even worse when i phoned him up about it, he said he wouldnt say it was due thursday if it wasnt in stock. Maybe i should record my telephone conversations. I got my money back and went elsewhere. Why not try the Cambridge audio m1 £80 from Richer Sounds?? touch screen , back light and can control 8 devices, even sky digital
RE: Hollow Man (Region 2) Problem
Ive not had any problems with this disc. I would put it down to the player. Maybe you should buy a well known make, reason being most discs are tested on well know makes of dvd player before they get distributed. I know, i hear u say, I cant afford it, but it a fact that cheaper players wont play all films. My sony might not play certain discs in the future, but i would say you would get a firmware upgrade for it. A dvd player is like a pc, you cant run new games on a pentium 1 chip!. Cheaper players use cheaper chip technology, i dont think the price is high on sony players cause of the brand name. Maybe im wrong about all this, but its only my opinion
