Connection problem Sky thru VCR

somebugger (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Friday, 8th February 2002, 12:25

I have a Pace digibox, an Aiwa FX7800 VCR and when I connect them as per manual via scart I get no Sky picture when the VCR is set to "TV" mode, all I get is sound and a blue screen. Anyone got any ideas ??

Yes firstly, ensure that the sky box is set up to say yes to scart control.
Secondly, you need to find the correct `av` channel that your scart from sky is going into on the video. Usually, try going down the channel selection from one, until you find stuff like av1, l1, etc on the vcrs led display. This will then ensure that the vcr is configured to recieve sky correctly. Then you need never change the video settings unless you tape from the old arial on the roof, so you can watch two sources.

Any probs, post back

Pete.

Cheers Pete, I`ve tried all options to no avail. I`ve now got the VCR routing through the Digibox which seems to work OK. Weird !
