DTS probs with Samsung 709 and Cambridge s.works DTT3500

I can`t seem to get any DTS output from my Samsung 709 and Cambridge soundworks DTT3500 system.

I`ve set the 709`s out put to bitstream, but still can`t get anything. Any tips?

P.S. Don`t ask the Samsung website for anything, the bastards never get back to you

Yup, it`s got the DTS logo on the top. I also can`t get DTS from my PS2 (also DTS compatible)

I`m beginning to think it`s my sound system. It`s a 5.1 surround sound doohickey, do I need a diferent system to play DTS?

You have answered the question yourself.

You do indeed need an amp decoding the signal correctly. The 709 does send out DTS and DD 5.1.

I have/had the 709 hooked up to the Sony STRdb-930. Worked a treat.
