Denon 2802 amp

I am about to buy this amp for surround sound. Does any one have one as this amp is quite new.price paying £500.00. Look forward to any
reports.

The only diference between this and the 3802 is the fact it only has provision for one centre back channel, but it can be upgraded by adding another power amp to the pre outputs.
Other than that and some superficial `under the lid` stuff, its the same amp, and it sounds the absolute top job. My mate replaced his 1801 with the 2802 and hasn`t looked back since. The look on his dad`s face when he heard the extended surround shenanigans of Se7en was a treat! Buy with confidence-its an ace amp.
By the way, Monitor Audio speakers sound excellent with Denon recievers, don`t know why, but the same mate has ahd the Silver 8i speakers for over a year now and they impress me everytime.

My speakers are 4 x kef 60s with a sub 30b plus 80c centre. The old amp replacing is a Yam 590 which does not have a 5.1 connection as I have purchased a Tosh 510. Hope the system works as the old amp was very good.
