i know both these machines have the same hack for multi-region+macro,but will they play vcds+rce discs
+can i play my tv satalite through it as well

I bought a Venturer from Woolworths a couple of weeks ago. It plays the Bon Jovi VCDs but won`t play a Bryan Adams CD-i.

I don`t know about rce discs, haven`t got any so far.

I am pleased with the Venturer, especially since it only cost £179.99 and allows me to feed the TV and Video sound through it.

My advice is neither. I went down the same road as you and purchased the Goodmans. These machaines do not support Dolby Pro Logic via their aux input, you will only get 2 channel stereo. Within a month the Goodmans developed a fault (thank goodness) and was able to return it for a full refund. I then bought the Schnieder HCS 500 for £299 from Asda`s. My advice is to spend a little more and gain a great deal more performance wise.
