Another Connection query (Sorry!)

Looking at the manual for the VS-10 (Yamaha) it say to connect to a DVD you use the optical cable but also mentions connecting a video cable.

Why would i need this when i connect to my tv with a scart??

Should i buy a vid cable or just stick with the optical??

Any help appreciated, im on the big order this arvo!!

If you are allready are conected via scart then you do not need to add the video cable.
