Looking to buy the above - can buy one locally for £550 - trying to find one cheaper on line.

Or if anyone has any better suggestions for a 32" ws -I have £600 to spend.

Cheers

If your after a 32" Philips TV and not a flat screen model you want to look at the 32PW6006. Try unbeatable.co.uk for a good price, £474 without a stand, £500 when you include delivery. Still a pretty good price.

Although you may want to read a few other threads about the PW6006 before you buy it!

It`s about £584 if you want it with a stand...

If you can stretch to it, Hi Spek (www.hispek.com) are selling the Philips 6515 for £650 including delivery. This is a flat screen 32" model.

I bought the 32PW6515 from HiSpek. Based on personal experience I would not recommed the TV or the supplier.

I had read that a batch of 32PW6515 had signal processing problems etc but after reassurances from the HiSpek guy that I would get a refund if their were problems, I bought one.

Was not happy with the picture quality and told HiSpek so. They sent an enginner who claimed the set was `operating withing specification` and that was that. HiSpek refused to accept the TV was not of `reasonable quality` and despite a number of emails etc refused to accept the TV is faulty. After hassling them and qouting Trading Standards etc they agreed to allow me to cancel the contract and return the set - BUT I would have to pay the return delivery charge!

After speaking to the Philips customer support and tweaking Contrast/Brightness/Colour and sharpness I have managed to get a reasonable picture. The picture can be excellent with DVD and is usually OK with most modern broadcasts but with older repeats etc the picture can be really blocky with artefacts everywhere. If you have ever watched a poor quality VCD you will get the idea of what the picture can look like.
Even on some modern TV programmes when the picture is a bit dark then it looks really grainy.
Note that I use OnDigital for my TV viewing and I never experienced any of the other problems with my old 28" TV or with a Panasonic 32DK1 I had for two weeks before the Philips (the panny went back to QED cos it had a faulty Scart and SVHS sockets and it was an end of line model and I could not get another one)
