Reversal of fortune!! Recommends for a new Westy System! :}

Hello all,

As i`m nearly `better` and coping with my black dog [as Churchill dubbed it], i`ve decided to get back in the swing of things.
However.
Due to the fact that i will be moving in with my girlfriend very soon, i`ve got the painstaking task of now starting a new system from scratch. Boo bloody hoo! This has nothing to do with an iron fist from my girlfriend waving in front of me [she has more respect for me than that!], no no - it`s more to do with a room thats a LOT smaller than the one i have now.
So.
Out; With the Denon AVC A11SR. I can still take it back, it`s not too late!
Out; With my cherished Acoustic Energy fronts and centre
Out; My Yamaha Subwoofer.

I have aprospective buyer for the speakers which will generate some good revenue to go towards a new system, but what the hell do i buy? Of course it`s ususally me who dishes out this sort of advice, but i thought i`d turn the tables and try to get some recommendations from all you peeps instead! There are a few rules though;

I MUST have 6.1 and pro logic 2, so take into account any additional speakers as well,
Lastly the speakers must be discreet and wall mountable or stand mount - the reason? DOGS! And they`re a pain in the ass, hence the downsizing, and of course, there`s no way the room is cut out for the current amps HUGE power reserves, so it`s got to go and that`s final!
Here`s my first thoughts,

Marantz 6200/7200 with Kef 2005 `Egg` Uni Q sub/sat package
or,
Yamaha 630/730 RDS with Monitor Audio Bronze speaker pack, mated with Mj Acoustics Pro 50 subwoofer.
I`ll be keeping the Mission 77DS for side surround duties.

Now i need everyone elses recommendations! Not too expensive please, i have a feeling the patter of tiny Westy feet isn`t to far away....

Thanks in advance, HAVE FUN!!

Westy

Blimey Westy, are you allergic to keeping an amp for more than a month? I`ve got a Yamaha A5 if you`re interested (joke).

Brave man losing that amp - I guess you can always get another when the room grows (?)
In my case I found the tiny feet thing seriously curtailed my hi fi expenditure, so you may find yourself living with this system for a long time, so choose carefully.

If I were you, I`d go for wall mounted - our dog tends to get very confused by surround sound, and starts running round the room jumping up at each speaker she can reach and staring into it and barking - only ones that are safe are the rears which are way too high for her. Kids also have a habit of leaning on speakers - my floorstanders were never safe, and I think standmounted would suffer the same fate (my fronts are shelf mounted at the moment - a compromise, but better than seeing fingers in drive units).

Sorry I can`t be any positive help on kit - gut reaction would be your second choice, but would they still take up too much room space? I find stand mounted speakers can be more visually intrusive than floor standers.

I Have the 7200 with mission fs2 av`s in a room which is 14 feet by 11 feet outstanding. These speakers go well with the wife as they are small and discret.
