Not sure if this is the right forum but i will try for someones advice!

I have got a yamaha vs-10 and have been experimenting with the setting over the last month or so and i wandered what setting was best for DD and DTS i currently use the 70mm theatre one, it gets more surround feel, is that the best one or should i use the one before that which seems not to have asmuch surround feel especially on DTS playback!

Any thoughts appreciated

Cheers

Jon

As the manual itself says, there is no "right" setting and there is no substitute for trying out the various options and seeing which works best for you in the particular acoustic conditions of your room. A great deal will be dependent on room size, speaker positioning and the layout of the room.

I`ve also got a VS10 and have found that the Pro-Logic/DD/DTS setting (depending on the input source) or the 70mm/DD/DTS Movie Theatre setting work best for me. The DTS Movie Theatre setting in particular gives amazing sound on DTS disks.

Thanks Mark

I find that the DTS Movie Theatre gives better sound reproduction, Glad someone else is using the same settings!

Cheers
