Page 1 of Jet - Shine On - Awesome

Got this new Jet album a few weeks ago and it`s hardly been out of my ears.

It`s not often I call an album `great` but I think I`ll still be spinning this little gem in my dotage.

You can almost see the ven diagram, with the best of Oasis in one circle, late Beatles in another, with early AC/DC in the final circle, and this album sat in the middle.

It`s not groundbreaking, it`ll not revolutionise anything but it`s just very, very good song writing and musicianship. I heartily reccomend. :D

i had interest in buying this album until i heard the single. i wasnt impressed at all, as it just sounded like the crummy songs from the first album. i guess the oasis influence is what kills it for me.

What was the single?

Used to listen to Xfm a fair bit but the heavy rotation did my head in and I turned off the radio and slapped the MP3 player in.

Just "acquired!" Shine On, after reading the above posts. Great, albeit very Beatle-y/Oasis-y. New Kaiser Chiefs good too.
