I think it`s something to do with Java and is one of those things that I`ve sorted along the way in the past. I just can`t remember how..
I know there was a few things between M$ and Sun over Java but how do I get Java back in IE??
Cheers,
Ste
How, as I have the same problem? Splash web site being one of them with just "x" all over the place.
I downloaded Java from Sun.
http://java.sun.com/getjava/manual.html
I got the `all languages` version - it didn`t seem to like the us english one.
It did put a task in the bottom right of the taskbar but right-clicking and `exit` closed it.
Strange because I thought Java came with SP1. I remember something about SP1a that removed it I think so maybe that`s what I put on..
Ste
Okay, thanks for that.
Downloaded the Sun thing but still getting the same problem. Some pages don`t even load up at all. Any ideas Ste???

Sorry mate no. It sorted it for me. Take it you get the X on the page above?
Have you got Flash etc?
Try http://www.audiovisiononline.co.uk for me. Does it load `cos I can`t get in. Title bar just keeps swapping.

The Sun JVM is slower at starting up than the Microsoft JVM.
This causes problems for some websites designed for the Microsoft JVM as they can lock up when the JVM isn`t ready in time.
Another problem with the Sun JVM is that it doesn`t always install properly the first time so sometimes you have to uninstall it and reinstall it a few times.
