am running windows me and all of a sudden i am having problems with cookies! i use aol and have all the setting to allow cookis but still can`t access mainly banking sites! when i try to log on i am told cookies are disabled or missing! what can i do! is there a setting on the me for this or is it just on my browsers? help please

If it`s banking sites you`re having trouble accessing it may be the level of encryption your browser uses. Most banks will only let you access them with 128-bit `Cipher Strength`.

Try downloading the latest version of whatever software you use?

you could try clearing out you temp file and clearing your cookie cache, you will have to log on agin but that often helps

I think this is because banks use a higher security level and you may need to allow individual access to the given site. If you see a little eye icon pop up on the status line this means that access is being blocked and you need to click on this and follow through to allowing that individual site or group of sites permission.

We had the same problem at work when accessing a secure site and I think that the prob. cropped up suddenly as there had been some change to the site.

And you`re using AOL - someone at work was using AOL 3 and couldn`t access Natwest after they updated. A quick upgrade to AOL7 and it was working fine.
