Try ADSLGuide you can compare suppliers and get an idea of what they provide.

I use Zen as it is a monthly contract with no download limits, also the service and support are excellent.

Hope that helps. 8)

The link above is a great start.
I`m on cable so can`t help from first hand experience but a mate is with eclipse and he cannot fault them. Reliability, performance and customer support are all great he says.

I`m on Freeserve and had no problems. In PC World today I noticed the offer is free modem, connection + your first 2 months free as well ( then £27.99)

AOL Broadband...

£27.99 a month, free modem and connection (worth £85), can`t fault service at all. Very good upload speed in comparison to the rest I find, and an equal download KBPS. AOL are great anyway, in my book.

Hello.

I must say you hould be looking at Plus at Nildram. Both really are top notch providers, with excellent support. Don`t be swayed by `free activation` etc. look at the whole service you get. I know that with AOL your connection can`t easily be shared (because of the feckin numptyproof software they use) and BT have a bad reputation for support.

Just my tuppence worth..

I just got Eclipse, start date was supposed to be 10th September. Got back today and the green light was on on the router, fired up the computer and dsl is working 5 days early.

Yep.. this is quite often the case both times with different ISP`s i`ve had this happen, very handy :) Although sometimes your ISP won`t have created you account on their systems so they only place you`ll be able to browse to is the bt demo site :)
