When I try to run my Medal Of Honour: Spearhead, it keeps telling me to put the correct CD in the drive and restart. But I do have the correct CD in the drive! I have two drives and tried it with both to no avail. I already downloaded and applied the two update patches for the game but still I get the same CD problem. Any suggestions?
RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
This usually happens when you use a pirate copy of a game. However, it happens to all my games despite them being shop-bought originals. My advice is to do as I do, visit Here and download the appropriate NO-CD patch. If you already have the 2 patches I think the V2.15 (783KB) one is the one to get. Hope it helps.
RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
Thanks for the tip. I ve just done that but when I run the downloaded file it just crashes. I downloaded V.2.5, as I applied all the update pathces to my original copy. Perhaps I should try an earlier one...The other two earlier patches are RAR files, niether executable. Should I move these to a certain folder in the main game?

Use WinRAR on the rar files.
Does the original MoH work ok still?
Have you updated your directx recently?
RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
You usually have to add the files you downloaded (after extracting them) to the installation directory (like C:/ProgramFiles/MOH - Spearhead... or whatever it is). You can usually find out the version you have by opening the installation directory and clicking the main .exe file. In the status bar it should tell you the version, size, creation date etc. Then get the correct one. If all else fails, re-install the game from scratch without the patches and get the V1.0 file.

RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
I suggest you go to this link and dowload the no cd patches for mohaa v1.11 and moh spearhead v 2.15
http://www.dvdf.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/downloads.htm
Once you have unzipped the files and placed the short cuts in the correct location (these should come with a readme file to assist you) . You will not need your CD`s again to start the game...Problem solved ....HOPEFULLY

RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
Thanks for all the tips fellas. Even after a reinstall of everything the problem comes down to this: whenever I try to execute the SPEARHEAD NO CD patch it instantly crashes with the message, "Launch MFC application has encountered a problem and needs to close". For some reason if wont execute. The same thing happens when I try to apply the MOHAA NO CD patch.

RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
That is very strange indeed....I have no probs with it at all.
Which folder did you put the short cut in? I put it in c:blah blah programfiles...eagames...MOHAA Dont go any further than this one. You should be asked if you want to replace the existing one if you are not asked then you are putting it in the wrong directory.
Hope this help...if not then I am stumped
A HA! I`ve just been downloading the patch and unziping the file to my desktop then executing it from there like the previous update patches. EUREKA, mate, it works. Cheers!

RE: MOHAA: Spearhead problem
Replace the current .exe file in the Spearhead installation directory with the one you downloaded. Just make sure it`s the same version number.
