Help Please: Can`t Open .NFO Files Anymore!
Since upgrading from winME to XP recently (which is fully updated), I`m no longer able to double click on .NFO files and have them open up so that that I can read the text inside. I get the following message: "System Information cannot open this NFO file. It may be corrupted or an unrecognized version". Then once I click "OK" I get the "refreshing system information" screen. I doubt that it`s due to any corruption as this has happened to every NFO file that i`ve tried to open since upgrading but never once happened when i was running ME. Does anyone else have these problems with XP and a solution that they can share?

RE: Help Please: Can`t Open .NFO Files Anymore!
I usually just open them with Notepad. Just set Notepad as the default application to open them, by right-clicking one, and choosing "Open With" and "Choose Program". Then choose Notepad on the list and check the "Always use this program......" checkbox. Click OK and you`re done. Hope this helps.
RE: Help Please: Can`t Open .NFO Files Anymore!
On windows XP, .NFO files are system information files. If you just double click it system information will attempt to open it but cant. You have to right click the file and choose OPEN WITH. If WORD or NOTEPAD or any text editer are not on the list click choose program and then select one of the above.
