Page 1 of Messenger Service constantly spamming me

F*cking ars*holes. What I`ve got right now is a constant barrage of Messenger Service pop-ups, and they wont go away. I`ve rebooted several times & they still persist!

Any idea on how to rid them?

Go to Gibson Research Corporation and Download the Shoot The Messenger program.

In the `Run` box type `services.msc` (without quotation marks)

This should bring up a Local Services window. In the right hand pane under the `Name` column you should see an entry called `Messenger`.

Double click on it and change the `Startup Type` to `Disabled` using the drop down box.

If you`re getting those, then you probably don`t have a firewall program either. It`s a good idea to use one - if messenger pop ups can get to your computer, then other programs can!

Kerio is another good PF. If you`re on broadband you really should have one! I I have a PF and a NAT router, and I get no Messenger Spam. I like the fact I don`t have to disable the service as it allows me to freak out the girlfriend by sending her messages when she`s using the laptop downstairs :)
