hi can anybody help me please have got nero 6 and trying to back up my games so my 8 year old doesnt wreck em!! but i cant get past the copyright! is there a trick to this or do i need different software? thanx

what sort of games?

if it`s for a console...unless your console is chipped, it won`t play them anyway.

If they are just pc games, there shouldn`t be a problem. tell nero it`s an audio cd! And it should work.

For PC games you need to download no-cd cracks for whatever versions of the games you have.

They usually come in a Zip or Rar file with instructions in a .nfo file (open in Notepad).

I got a repremand for suggesting using a crack to a bloke who wanted use a program (i cant remember what) but didnt want to keep putting the CD in.

Its fair enough to err on the side of caution as far as the mods are concerned, but it is a total ball ache having to put the cd in EVERY time you use it.

(which helped lead to a nocd command in later UT2003 patches, because everyone was cracking the game anyway)

It`s legal to get a no-cd crack anyway as long as you own the original copy, and I do believe it`s perfectly legal to backup our games, too. So I don`t see what the mods would have against it. ;)

Plus, there was a big thread a few months back from someone who needed a MOH Spearhead crack, and that wasn`t edited.

me too, I wanted a no-cd patch / fix for a LEGIT copy of Lego Racers for the daughter
so that she did`nt have to keep using the dvd drive. :(

Its been pointed out before that there is no provision for making a backup under UK law without authorisation of the owner of the material. US law is a entirely different thing.
