What`s the cheapest (and best!) Broadband connection??

Hulk Smash! (Elite) posted this on Friday, 5th March 2004, 03:07

Hi there - I currently have Windows XP, and use Aol 8.0 on a dial-up modem (£15.99 per month). I`m pretty happy with everything - it`s just that Aol has a habit of being a bit slow or dis-connecting itself every now and then (sometimes it`s fine, or sometimes it can happen 5 or 6 times in a couple of hours!).

So I was wondering what the best/cheapest broadband connection is - I`ve seen quite a few advertised between £15 - £20 per month (Tiscali, BT, Freeserve etc) Are any of these any good? I`ve only ever used a dial-up service - is broadband that much better/faster? (I don`t really want to pay much over £20 per month!)

Any advice/info would be much appreciated!!

CHEERS!

A good site to check out is; http://www.adslguide.org.uk/

You`ll be able to compare adsl providers and see whats out there and how much it is....

Pipex, not the cheapest @ £23.44 inc a month, still cheaper than BT.

One of the best for quick line activation & cheap startup (£17.99 modem & microfilters & free activation or if you have a modem etc already FREE). :D
