Page 1 of LINUX users...which one
PCs & Mobiles Forum
All you Linux users, which is the one that works for you?? I need one that can read all (or most) window files, with as much plug and play as possible.
Its not what you know but who you know
Debian and RedHat are the two I hear most frequently.
Personally I prefer OpenBSD, which is unix, although pretty much everything that compiles for linux works fine on it.

Mr10%, check out a couple of the Linux magazines. they normally have at least one distro on them and often them have a "live" version, which runs directly from CD, so you dont have to install it to try it. Personally I occasionally use Suse, and have got Mandrake somewhere to try too.
I second Suse. A breeze to install and easy to use, providing you`ve got hardware which isn`t antique. Follow the link and look down the right hand side, you can download the files and:
"burn it on CD. SUSE LINUX 9.1 Personal will boot directly from the CD without modifying your hard disk, allowing you to test and use SUSE LINUX 9.1 Personal."
Worth a try if you have a fast enough connection to download the files.
