best CD copying programme?

dakwah (Competent) posted this on Sunday, 22nd August 2004, 06:22

linking to a previous thread: my car CD player (philips) do not like many of the CDR I burn, not sure why only why some and not others. Anyway, is there a difference between copying software for basic tasks like mine? have tried nero, media player 9 and easy CD creator. Is there a difference between audio copy of a whole album and disc copy option?

thanks to all

thanks for the reply. various makes including sony, TDK and verbatim datalifeplus.

some CDR recorded are ok and play fine in the car. some do not play one or 2 tracks usually the 1st couple. All the CDRs will play in the hifi and portables, just the car. The manual says it will play CDR. Must be very fussy, but why some and not all? Maybe its the original CDs. But most (but not) all original plays ok in the car. I think the main problem is the car CD player but wonder if I can sort it out with copies.

The car is 2nd hand but is only 18 months old. The player is a philips CCR600 which uses a 4 disc autochanger fitted in the glove box, with controls on the steering wheel so changing the system will not be easy (or cheap).

Whats the difference between an original and the way Nero for example records so that CDR are fussy to use?

try dropping down the speed down that help`s some time or try a cd cleaner in the car dvd player some people nevver clean the lasers. and smoke or dust can dirty the laser

If you are simply wanting to copy CD`s rather than creating a new compilation using mp3`s then I would recommend CloneCD. Very easy to use and very reliable.

Sam.
