and if you do unlock it, and put it on another network, will all the features work ok, or are some network dependent?

on standard networks (ie all of them except 3) the phone should be fine, as long as you can either A.get the "smart" settings from you`re network provider or B.manualy input the gprs/wap/mms settings, stuff like the correct url`s etc, the only phone i ever had to set up manualy was my first 3650 cos the automatic settings were`nt available at the time, it was a real bitch to do but i got it done in the end.

Hi all, my sister has a Sagem MYX-6 and its being a pain in the back side to unlock. I found a tempary unlock for it that needed a cable works fine untill the phone is turned off! Then you got to unlock it again on PC. Does anyone know where I can get a programme that will permantily unlock it?

how can I get this lead? What is it called (I assume it`s something different from the data cable)?

as far as i know it`s just the standard data lead with the "correct" software, but don`t quote me on that :)

I found this link , the cable costs £9.95 and the software £4.96 BUT it only covers Sagem phones upto MYX6 :( and it`s only a temporary unlock (you have to input the code everytime you switch on)

This discussion seems to suggest that the best solution is to get the provider to send an unlock code (Orange charge £10 or £20).

Looks like markets charge £5 to £10 in general but this invalidates the warrenty. Out of curiosity what can go wrong with unlocking?
