What are process modules?

Nina (Elite) posted this on Monday, 8th November 2004, 22:10

Everytime I run Ad Aware I always seem to have about 1500 of these and about 44 running processes. Does anyone know what they are?

Thank you :)

Process modules are a module of code which the main programme can call to. Say for example Internet Explorer: There is the main programme that you use. You type in an address for example, IE in turn passes that address onto the code contained in the module to carry out the search etc. Once the modlue has found the page you typed, it then transfers the page to IE. (Example by the way)

That is as simple of expanaiton I can give to discribe it. Hope that helps.
