will a U.S. phone charge on a UK charger?
any idea?
cheers
RE: will a U.S. phone charge on a UK charger?
Should do yes, as all phones use a DC charger AFAIK.
You wouldn`t be able to use the U.S. charger though, you`d need to find out what the voltage and polarity is and get one to suit

NO, the voltage is 110v in USA and 240v here you will blow the transformer, get a UK one that OUTPUTS the same as the USA one then make sure of the polarity to the phone, it will then charge the phone. Hope this helps.

The phone doesn`t have a transformer.
..as all phone chargers use DC OUTPUT, so by the time it reaches the phone, the AC current has been converted, the 110v (actually 115v @ 60 Hz)/240v isn`t an issue. He`s asking whether the phone will charge, not whether a US charger will work (Which, as I said in my earlier reply, it won`t, unless it`s a multi voltage input charger)
