Page 1 of Anyone Any Experience With This Motherboard?

MERCURY PRO2800+ KNM266PM-U SOUND/VIDEO/LAN M-ATX.

I ask because I`m putting a PC together for a guy who`s current PC is beyond repair. The guy has no heavy or even medium tasks for it-bit of websurfing, e mail and the occasional word processor document. The PC he had was very limited in spec and does all he wanted-Intel 433 cpu, Windows 98, 192mb RAM (PC100), 4.3GB HDD (Nowhere near full) 8MB Matrox graphics card, CD Rom drive

So, I`m looking at a pretty low budget affair-his HDD and CD Rom drive can transfer over, so no need to buy those again, just some memory, Mobo, Processor/fan a modem and a case. I came across this board when I was looking for options that had sound/video and it looks ok for whathe`d want to do-its got a cpu/fan already fitted,though I can;t see if this is removeable in case it needs to be changed somewhere down the line.

So, anyone any experience with this board?

Funnily enough a friend came round with one last night asking me to help him fit it. Turned out his one is completely dead, no life in the board at all, not even powering the CPU fan, so not a brillinat start :(
That said, the board looked OK - documentation was OK, and everything needed was supplied (I`d forgotten how much I hate building PC`s)!

Hope yours works out a bit better than this one.

Did you happen to notice whether the cpu was actually removeable (i.e a slot A motherboard)?
