Orange abroad question

dvd_vicar (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 20th April 2005, 05:45

A friend has moved to Spain for six months - it appears to cost 12p to text him there - does it cost him anything to receive the texts?

It should cost you your standard text rate to text him.

It doesn`t cost him anything to receive the texts.

However if you phone him it will cost him extra, but will cost you your standard call rate.

Slightly off the topic of texts - I`ve just returned from Spain and was calling the UK for pennies (well 4 cents) through dialabroad/spain on a Spanish SIM card through my mobile. You can call a Spain landline for a penny from your mobile in the UK with dialabroad.
