any good 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo deals out there?

Anil Khedun (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 14th June 2005, 09:19

Hi,

I`m looking to get a 1GB memory stick, the cheapest I`ve seen is about £85 from Picstop. I`ve seen the ones on eBay, but I`d rather not have to spend time bidding and hoping that I`ve won it or met the reserve when I can just buy it today.

So, anyone know of any good deals on 1GB memory sticks?

any help is appreciated! :D

Cheers,

Anil

You mean those USB things that are about the size of two or three chewing gums and you can hot-swap between PCs?

I think Maplins are doing one at about seventy quid. Im looking for one too.

No, these are the Pro Duo which are about the size of a postage stamp! Like this on
eBay. Now that I look at it, I think I`ll try and be a bit more patient and try and get one from eBay! I just want it for my new phone. Okay, here we go...

:-)

Well I am going to Singapore on Friday, I will let you know if they are cheap there. I would recommend that you purchase one in the UK incase you have any problems with it. I would think some of the ones on Ebay will be from Hong kong and its likely that the warranty will be void in the UK.

Sheeet, £15 for delivery, they`re tiny - £15 is a rip off.

Yep, complete rip off on p&p seeing as these things hardly weigh anything...talk about making money on postage *and* item. What about the guy charging £19.99 for p&p from HK!! Still, even with £15 p&p it works out to be about £15 cheaper than buying from the UK. Mind you, the whole warranty thing is kinda off putting when dealing with a dealer from overseas, could be hassle.

And after all that, I`ve decided to hold off for a while.

you can get a 512MB one from Play, should be sufficient for most uses.

I got mine from ebay at Christmas. A fair bit cheaper than buying. It`s a San Disk and the warrantees are international :) :D
