transfering audio tapes on to cd
Now i have nearly transfered all my vhs tapes on to dvd next is my audio tapes and record collection but how do you go about transfering them on to cd? anybody know the cheapest easiest way to do it?
RE: transfering audio tapes on to cd
I`ve got an audio cd recorder (Yamaha) and just plug up a tape player via an input.
Think you can do it through a PC though somehow! :/
RE: transfering audio tapes on to cd
I did try connecting a small tape player using the headphone socket then connecting to the line in on the computer but did`nt know wot to do next.
Don`t try it with the headphone socket - you`ll get a p*** weak signal, and the end result will sound awfull. Try and get a tape player with a designated line out, and do as you have done already.
Live a life you love, use a god you trust, and don`t take it all too seriously
Go to a s/h shop and buy a hi-fi tape deck that you would normally use with a separate amplifier. Then use the deck to amp connection to input to your PC audio in socket.
That`s how I copied all my book cassette tapes to Cd`s.
Cracking toast, Gromit!
... If found, please return this person to the insane asylum, as it would really annoy them if you do that :¦

What about this...
Plusdeck :D
RE: transferring audio tapes on to CD
You can get a y cable 2 phono plugs "red and white" to 1 line in plug.
just plug the red and white into an "audio out" on a tape deck or stereo with tape deck or an amp
then:
plug the "line in" black plug into the "line in" socket on the back of the PC.
then the softwre I use to capture sound is
magix audio cleaning lab 2005
it`s a VERY simple to use program.

RE: transferring audio tapes on to CD
you can get a free programme that will help u transfer audio from a record/tape deck on to your computer
and u can save it in .wav format or.mp3 so that you can record it straight to cd as well as do loads of other things with it
