Page 1 of Problem when playing Counter Strike

...no not that I`m useless at it :p

Basically what happens is that the screen freezes for a few seconds then the monitor goes off/into standby mode (black screen, light flashing on and off), the tower is still running, the mouse (optical - can tell by the light) and keyboard both still seem to be on. I`ve tried ctrl alt delete to no avail (only thing I can think of), so any ideas anyone?

have you adjusted ur setting to high or o/c ur gfx card?????? if not just save ur maps and reinstall css

Nope and Nope. Its a weird one, doesn`t do it all the time (just been playing for about an hour with no problems) :/

Could your comp be over-heating?... i had a similar problem with c.s but with mine the game just froze, bought a extra case fan + never had the problem again

Could be (any way I could tell - other than the current prob?), thing is I usually reboot and then start playing again (with no problems) :/
