Pc and xbox 360 help needed

I was lucky enough to be given a 360 for Xmas and am currently trying to set it up to stream content from my PC. To get the best out of the xbox i need to have Windows Media Centre, sadly I have Power Cinema.
Can I install media centre without it causing havoc with the rest of the PC and if so where Can i get it legally?

Isn`t Windows Media Centre the version of XP with the different front end? i.e. you install it on a PC (usually a `media` PC that looks more like a DVD player etc. than a PC). It`s not just a bit of software - it`s pretty much an Operating System.
